We performed a simple safe wash on this 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE. Love the Nightfall Grey Metallic color! Whenever we detail vehicles, we always use de-ionized water which eliminates the possibility of water spots. In this instance, it is especially important because of the matt black vinyl wrap on the hood. This finish is easily susceptible to water spotting. With love bug season in full effect, we have been working hard to keep our customer's paint free from the devastating damage love bugs can potentially cause. It is recommended to remove the dead love bugs from your vehicles paint within 24 - 48 hours, especially if the vehicle stays outside in the elements. IF they are not removed within this timeframe, dead love bugs can etch the clearcoat of a vehicle and leave a shadow that cannot be removed. The most effective method ...of preventing damage from dead love bugs is to: Have and maintain a high-quality wax or sealant on the high impact areas. Front bumper, grill, hood, side mirrors, windshield, and the roof above the windshield. Doing so will create a barrier in between the dead love bugs and the clear coat, as well as making the bugs easier to clean if done within the recommended time period.
